Amid Cam Newton controversy, Charlotte Observer reporter apologizes for racially offensive tweets

The Charlotte Observer reporter to whom Panthers quarterback Cam Newton directed a sexist comment Wednesday has apologized for racially insensitive tweets from 2012 and 2013 unearthed by a Twitter user.
